It combines innovative planning and design approaches with experience in a broad range of disciplines.
Our custom designs are more than planting plans. They incorporate your needs and desires as we create and improve your outdoor living space.
Attention to detail is critical to perfecting your landscape design, from choosing and placing the proper plants and hardscape to adding art and enhancements. The Process
Initial Contact
When you contact us for the first time, we discuss your landscape design needs. More.
We are interested in learning about your objectives for your new landscape project. We then schedule an initial site visit to discuss your landscape needs in greater depth. Or we can schedule a one time consultation, if that is all you need.Hide
Site Visit and Client Meeting
We meet with you to walk your property and discuss your dreams for your garden. More.
A beautiful landscape starts with a discussion of comprehensive design ideas. We meet with you in order to gain insight into your specific landscape needs and to gain a greater understanding of the future uses for your space. We combine your personal tastes and preferences with horticultural requirements and design principles to create the perfect outdoor retreat in the style you desire.
At the initial meeting, we also explain our design process in more detail. We discuss the objectives of the design along with the design fees involved. Together we determine whether to create a design for only a portion of your landscape or develop a master plan for the entire property. . For smaller projects, a drawn design may not be needed. We still utilize our design expertise in formulating the hardscape or planting plan for your landscape. We proceed to the first design phase upon your acceptance of the Design Agreement. Hide
Site Analysis
When visiting your site, we look at every detail of your property to ensure your new landscape will blend beautifully with the existing terrain. We take into consideration every aspect of your yard that could affect the new design including space, soil, existing trees, and sunlight. More.
The site analysis includes onsite measurements of your entire property or just the area to be addressed in the initial landscape phase. We analyze and photograph current site conditions as well as identify existing features or plantings that will remain. General design ideas previously discussed are incorporated. Concept Development
- Design Analysis
We create a preliminary design of our ideas for your landscape. More.
This design incorporates our proposed design concepts and shows you the location and shape of the beds, lawn, and hardscape elements. It also specifies the types of plant material to be added. Because we maintain a variety of properties we are uniquely suited to design for you a sustainable, low maintenance landscape. Successful landscape design is a collaborative process. - Budget Analysis
We provide a general cost proposal based on the design recommendations. More.
This proposal is based on the plants and hardscape materials recommended in the concept design. Together with you, we determine whether to proceed to completion on the entire plan or to finalize only certain phases of the design. Hide
Final Design
We create a final design that provides details for the installation of your garden. More.
The final design incorporates any changes to the elements of your new landscape made during the conceptual design phase. Prior to installation, plant varieties and material details will be selected. An additional design meeting may be needed to finalize these elements and ensure that your new custom landscape design fits your style, needs, and budget. Hide
