Landscape design is a collaborative process. We take the time to meet with you and walk your property in order to understand your specific landscape ideas, dreams, and desires.Your landscape design should capture your personal tastes and style, whether it is the groomed look of a formal garden or the controlled chaos of a cottage garden. We consider your preferences in creating a garden that can be formal, natural, english, tropical, native or xeriscape. Whatever style you can imagine we can create.

In creating the ideal landscape we take advantage of existing features or plants while addressing undesirable elements. We incorporate the future uses of your space which may include entertainment, recreation, children, pets or hobbies. We discuss the need for hardscape elements such as patios, walkways, and planters as well as other enhancements you may wish to incorporate such as patio covers, arbors, trellises, pergolas, water features, and landscape lighting. And we consider the level of garden maintenance desired. We also provide ongoing consultation and design services for do-it-yourself gardeners.

We take your idea from dream to master plan. Design ideas come from your needs and desires, the limitations of the site and the surrounding environment. We can develop a comprehensive design for your entire property or address a special area of your landscape. In doing so, we choose plants and hardscape materials that compliment your style as well as incorporate various colors, textures, and seasonal changes. Based on education and horticultural knowledge, we choose not only plants that you like but those that will thrive in your environment. A master plan that takes into consideration horticultural and site information as well as design principles is critical in eliminating wasted time and money.

The preliminary design process incorporates the concepts and goals discussed in the consultation. We consider site conditions, the client's tastes and plant preferences and the various landscape materials that can be used to create your ideal outdoor living space. This design specifies the location, shape and placement of the beds, lawn, and hardscape elements. Depending on the complexity of the design and the client's desires, a separate meeting may be scheduled to discuss the basic design structure.

We then create a final design using the structure established in the preliminary design. The final design details the plants and landscape elements to be added. This design includes a colored hard copy, a list of the plants, and a proposal estimating the cost of achieving your goals. A final design meeting is scheduled to discuss all of these elements and obtain your feedback. The goal is to ensure that the design, the plants, and the hardscape fit your landscape style and needs for your space as well as your budget.

Consultation and design fees are based on the size of the property and the complexity of the design.

Once we create a design to suit your needs, we would be happy to install it for you. The installation of your custom design is personally supervised by Maribeth Flowers, Owner.

Your ongoing participation in the installation process ensures that any new ideas, insights, and additions are incorporated. Initial installation costs are based on the proposal provided at the time of your design. We can provide complete and immediate installation or implement a phased approach to meet your budgetary considerations. Our goal is to design and install a landscape that is horticulturally sound and achieves your desires.

We are committed to teaching you how to get the most out of your landscape. After installation, we discuss with you how to care for your landscape. If desired, we can provide post installation follow-ups and continuing education on the care of your landscape as it matures, as well as assist in maintaining proper plant care.

For the busy homeowner, we provide complete maintenance services for your landscape. Customized garden maintenance is available on a weekly, monthly, seasonal or as needed basis. Our trained staff provides specialized landscape services to meet your every need.
